Edward Broussard

Edward Broussard, 57, a native and a resident of Jeanerette, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 1:30 a.m. at his residence.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. burial following in the Sorrell Community Cemetery.

Edward leaves to cherish his memories; his companion of fourteen years, Ms. Shirley Ann Williams of Jeanerette; two daughters Christy Ann Chassion of New Iberia, and Crystal Dixson of Beaumont, Texas; five brothers Peter (Sandra) Lumpkin Jr. and Edarryl Lumpkin both of New Iberia, and Jerry (Delilah) Sorrell of Four Corners, Sander (Shirley) Sorrell of Houston, Texas and Gilord (Inez) Sorrell of Humble, Texas; four sisters Veronica Clay and Dora Ann Sutton both of Jeanerette, Albertha Manual of Lydia, and Clara Bell Jackson of Four Corners; two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Rose Mary Lumpkin and Andrew Broussard, three brothers Casey Lumpkin, Cliford Lumpkin and Peter Sorrell Jr. and stepfather, Peter Sorrell Sr.

Active Pallbearers: Chad Jackson, Randy Jackson, Craig Sorrell, Ja’Michael Joe, Ray Manuel and Joseph Young.
