Westgate sets cancer awareness game

CHS rolls past Walker; Westgate wins 12-0

Westgate High School will hold a cancer awareness baseball game against the Hanson Memorial School Tigers on Saturday, April 7, at the WHS baseball field.

A junior varsity game at 11 a.m. will be followed by a varsity game at approximately 1 p.m.

T-shirts are being sold for $15 apiece ($18 for XXL or XXXL shirts). Orders must be turned in by Friday, March 30. Checks should be made payable to Westgate Baseball.

The game also features a cancer balloon launch with patrons invited to purchase a balloon in honor or memory of lives affected by cancer. Balloons are $1 apiece with the launch at 1 p.m. before the varsity game. A card will be attached to the balloons in honor of those who are fighting cancer, have won the fight against the disease or are being remembered.

The event includes music and concessions and a kids zone play area.
