A funeral service will be celebrated Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 12 p.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Linda Faye Manuel, 63, who passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, at her residence in Lafayette.

Visitation will be observed on Monday, April 16, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and resumes Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. until the time of service, at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.

A rosary will be recited on Monday, April 16, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.

Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.

Deacon Frank Cormier of St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate.

Linda was born September 1, 1954, in New Iberia and was a longtime resident of Acadiana. She graduated from New Iberia Senior High School in 1972. Linda was an avid gardener and enjoyed photography. She adored being a grandmother and great-grandmother so dearly. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her family and friends.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, Steven Manuel of Lafayette; two sons, Jarid Hugonin and his wife, Maria and Donny Hugonin and his wife, Susannah; two daughters, Tonia Lopez and her husband, Jason and Peggy Stelly; her mother-in- law, Lyla Manuel; eight grandchildren, Tyler Comeaux, Johnnie Stutes, Jonathan Hugonin, Mildred Hugonin Lee and her husband, Jay, Jacob Hugonin, Harrison Hugonin, Logan Lopez and Jason Kinney; four great-grandchildren, Jace Olivier, Holden Olivier, Annabel Lee and Emma Bourgeois and numerous dear brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. She was also survived by her niece and best friend, Paulette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lula LeBouef Peltier; two brothers, Fred and Persey Peltier and her father-in- law, Tee Manuel.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Comeaux, Harrison Hugonin, Jonathan Hugonin, Jacob Hugonin, Logan Lopez and Nick Manuel.

Honorary Bearers are Greg Manuel, Jason Kinney and Jay Lee.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Acadian Hospice and her nurse, Jennifer Mouton for the compassionate care given to Linda and her family.
