A Home-going Celebration will be held for Kenneth Lee “Dusty Roads” Dalbany, 62, at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home in New Iberia with Rev. Arthur Lee Alexander, officiating.

He will await the resurrection in Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.

A resident of Jeanerette, he passed at 3:48 p.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor.

He leaves in God’s care, his mother, Lou Ella Melvin Dalbany of Jeanerette; siblings Judy Dalbany Thibodeaux of Houston, Stacey M. Parker (Gregory), Cora R. Clay, Madeline Robertson and Danny Brooks all of Jeanerette; Linda Lancelin (Alfred) of Baldwin and Tania Thompson of Baton Rouge; nephew Rashness Dalbany of Jeanerette; nieces Danielle Lockett Blake (Dewayne) of Humble, Texas, Chianti Dwyer Rhine (Leonard “P.J.”) of Houma and Sunhat Garrett of Atlanta; godchild Shaka Theodolite Francis (Berwick) of Jeanerette; two aunts, Thelma Rose Carroll (Watt Sr.) of Dallas, Beria Fontenot of Jeanerette, Elizabeth Marie Cog dell and Susie Council (Rev. John) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; uncles Allen Odell Melvin and Berliner Melvin both of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Roland Robertson of St. Martinville; special friends Brunette Woolworth (Alfonzo Jr.) of St. Louis, Missouri and Ronald Dwyer (Earline) of Jeanerette and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlton Joseph Dalbany.

Active pallbearers will be members of the immediate family and friends.
