The Quarter Tavern in New Iberia will be playing host to a fundraiser to supply New Iberia City Park with a special swing for handicapped children.
The bar will serve jambalaya and white beans starting at 3 p.m. with donations per plate only. The food can be taken to-go or dine-in.
A silent auction will start at 4 p.m. with items from local businesses.
Quarter Tavern owner Doyle Copell said Jerre Borland and Lisa Lourd with The Berry Queens will be assisting with the auction as well.
A musical performance from Gene and Bubba is scheduled at the bar from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Copell said the swing is estimated to cost $1,000, and organizers are hoping to cover the cost of labor for New Iberia Parks and Recreation Department employees.
