Gabrielle Onellion Blanchard Davis

Gabrielle Onellion Blanchard Davis, known to friends as “Gabby,” returned to her heavenly home on April 18, 2018, at the age of 50 years.

Gabrielle, a lifelong resident of New Iberia, was born in Troy, New York on April 3, 1968, was the eldest daughter of the late Larry and Suzanne Onellion, and loved granddaughter of the late Helen Gray Morris.

Gabrielle was a kind, generous and gentle person who loved spending time with friends and family. She had a beautiful heart, a silly nature and a smile for all who knew her. Gabrielle had the wonderful ability to see gratitude in the simple things in life. Playing Frisbee or going fishing in the park with her children brought her so much joy. She was truly a good person who wanted wonderful things for all she met.

Gabrielle was a devoted mother and grandmother, who had an immense amount of love for her children Etus Thomas “Tommy” Romero, Brooksie Lynn Romero, Brandon Michael Onellion and her grandson T.J. Green and will forever in their hearts.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David Davis, whom she shared her journey of walking with Jesus Christ as members of the Glorious Church in New Iberia. They also enjoyed playing pool, bowling and traveling together.

She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her. The legacy of Gabrielle’s kind spirit, love of the simple things, and unique zest for life will live on through them.

A celebration of her life is scheduled for April 28, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Gabrielle’s life.
