St. Mary set for summer feeding

FRANKLIN — This year’s summer feeding program in St. Mary Parish begins June 11.
Seven sites will provide meals for children throughout the parish. Five will serve breakfast and lunch while two sites ( Bayou Vista and Maitland Elementary School) will serve only lunch.
In addition to the free meals students who attend may take part in activities that include arts and crafts, fun games and theatrical performances.
Breakfasts will be served from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The sites on the west end of St. Mary Parish are:
• St. Mary Alternative School, 131 Clausen Rd., South, Verdunville. Serving Breakfast & Lunch.
• West St. Mary Civic Center, 1498 Hwy. 318, Four Corners. Serving Breakfast & Lunch.
Raintree Elementary School, 501 Raintree Drive, Baldwin. Serving Breakfast & Lunch.
The sites on the east end of St. Mary Parish are:
• Bayou Vista Community Center, 1333 Belleview Street, Bayou Vista. Serving Lunch only.
• Maitland Elementary, 1907 Federal Ave., Morgan City. Serving Lunch only.
• Hattie Watts Elementary School, 1307 Third Street, Patterson. Serving Breakfast & Lunch.
• Siracusa Recreational Center, 1106 Grace Street, Siracusaville. Serving Breakfast & Lunch.
The sites will be closed on July 4 for Independence Day.
Meals are free and no child will be turned away based on age, race, color, creed, disability or nationality.
