LYDIA — A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Mrs. Carol A. Boutte, the former Carol A. Thompson, 73, at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, with Fr. Eugene Tremie as the Celebrant.

She will await the resurrection in St. Nicholas Catholic Church Cemetery in Patoutville.

A gathering of family and friends will begin on Saturday at the church 8 a.m. until time of service with a Rosary to be recited at 10 a.m.

A resident of Grand Marais, she passed at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2018, at her residence.

She leaves to cherish her fond memory, two sons Elroy Boutte (Candace Robicheaux) and Jeffery Boutte of Jeanerette; four daughters Caroline Stewart, Darlene B. Vital and Marlene B. Polk (Carl Joseph) all of Grand Marais and Leslie Boutte (Kevin Mitchell) of Houston, Texas; her mother, Leona Boutte Thompson of Grand Marais; a special friend Benjamin Thomas of Grand Marais; four brothers Robert Thompson Sr. (Debra Rosette) of Lawtell, Al Thompson Sr. (Judy Olivier) of Jeanerette, Clay Thompson Sr.(Connie) of New Iberia and Calvin Thompson Jr. (Ceanna) of Jeanerette; two sisters Virginia Olivier of Houston, Texas and Val Olivier (Roland) of Jeanerette; nineteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a special aunt Mary B. Murphey of Littleton, Colorado; two godchildren Calvin Frilot Sr. of Loreauville and Raquel Olivier of Spring, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy James Boutte; her father, Calvin Thompson Sr., her brother Rudolph Thompson and several uncles and aunts.

Active pallbearers are Scott Vital, Reggie Polk Sr., Bernard McCullum, Edward Patin Jr., Wendell Olivier Jr. and Clay Thompson Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Robert Thompson Sr., Al Thompson Sr., Clay Thompson Sr., Calvin Thompson Jr., Walter Boutte Jr., Reginald Boutte Sr., Elroy Boutte, Jeffery Boutte, Calvin Frilot Sr., Benjamin Thomas and Wilbert Stewart Sr.
