LAFAYETTE — Funeral services for Irene L. Gary, 87, will be held Friday, May 18, 2018, at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, with Deacon Waynard Boutte officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. and will continue Friday from 8 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.

A native of St. Martinville and resident of Coteau, Irene passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at Chateau Terrebonne Nursing Home in Houma.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Leonie Gary; niece Juanita Tuell; sister-in-law Shirley Segura; two brothers-in-law Vinton Gary Sr. and his wife, Juanita Gary and Wilson and his wife, Dee Gary; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Loumina Louviere; two sisters Agnes “Angie” Marlow and Dorothy Shuey; and three brothers Allen, Harry and John Louviere.
