Baldwin native reaches milestone in her education

Tajaki Lewis Broussard, formerly of Baldwin, received a Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters of Business Administration June 15 from South University School of Pharmacy in Savannah, Georgia.
While enrolled at South University, Broussard’s professional affiliation and leadership roles included the Christian Pharmacist Fellowship International (member since 2015), Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity (Treasurer/FundRaiser Chair 2016-2017), American Pharmacist Association Academy of Students of Pharmacy (Vice President 2016-2017), American Society of Health-System Pharmacist (member since 2015) and South University School of Pharmacy Ambassadors (member since 2015).
Broussard devoted countless hours in the community to numerous service projects and activities. In 2016 Walgreens and Rite-Aid in 2017 recognized her academic achievement through scholarships two consecutive years of her didactic term. Following graduation, Broussard plans to pursue a career in retail pharmacy and continue her education at South University to obtain a second Masters in Business Administration in Health Care.
She is the daughter of Leo and Belinda Smith and Elwood Shields of Baldwin. Broussard is the wife of SFC. Jahari D. Broussard Sr. and mother of Ty’Ran Jones and Jahari “JJ” Broussard Jr.
