JEANERETTE — Funeral services will be conducted for Jovana Gerami, 71, at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2018, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating. Burial will follow in Beau Pré Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 22, 2018, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 8 a.m. until 10:40 a.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

A native and residence of Jeanerette, Mrs. Gerami passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 2 a.m. in Lafayette.

She enjoyed family gatherings, shopping and gardening. She was a bookkeeper for Ackal’s Pharmacy and then was the Wellness Ambassador with Rite Aide.

She is survived by her children Douglas Freeman Jr. and his wife, Wilbera, of New Iberia, Ryan Michael Freeman and his wife, Stacy, of Jeanerette, Trevin Anthony Freeman and his wife, Krista, of Ocala, Florida and Melissa Legnon Cantrelle and her husband, Shay, of New Iberia; her brother Timothy James Gerami and his wife, Jadi, of Lafayette; her sister-in-law Cathy Gerami-Henry of Dayton, Ohio; her sister Mary Elizabeth Gerami Hebert and her husband, Gerald Sr., of Jeanerette; her stepson Michael Brandon Legnon and his wife, Stacy, of Baton Rouge; her stepdaughter Amanda Legnon Comeaux and her husband, Clint, of Texas; her grandchildren Megan Freeman, Chelsey Freeman Amy and her husband, Bo, Farrah Freeman, Mia Freeman, Carson Freeman, Douglas “3-D” Freeman, Linzy Dugas and her husband, Ross, Lexi Freeman, Britni King, Alison King, Olivia Freeman, Lillie Cantrelle, Parker Jayne Legnon and Carmyn Jade Comeaux; and her great-grandchildren Karmyn Amy, Nova Amy, Ophelia Freeman, Khori Dugas, Beckett Dugas, Saylor Grace Dugas and Raelynn Douglas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Peter Gerami Sr. and Selina Hebert Gerami; and her brother Robert Peter Gerami Jr.

Serving as pallbearers will be Douglas Freeman Jr., Ryan Michael Freeman, Trevin Anthony Freeman, Timothy James Gerami, Shay Cantrelle and Cason Freeman.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Hebert Sr., Gerald Hebert Jr. and Douglas “3-D” Freeman.
