Anthony Troy Wells Sr.

A home-going celebration will be held for Mr. Anthony Troy Wells Sr., 40, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Carl F. Lewis officiating.

He will await the resurrection at Woodlawn Cemetery in Milton.

A gathering of family and friends will begin Saturday at 8 a.m. at the funeral home until time of service.

A resident of New Iberia, he passed at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018, at his residence.

He was a self-employed welder for over twenty three years. He also worked for WHC Energy Services.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three daughters Troylynn Taylor Janae Wells of Jeanerette, Troylecia Janae Wells and Troi Jolie Wells both of Youngsville; one son Anthony Troy Wells Jr. of New Iberia; four brothers Allen Ray Wells Jr. (Chantelle) and Jermaine Wells both of New Iberia, Xavier Wells (Bianca) of Lafayette and Willis Smith of Dallas, Texas; three sisters Marcie Walker (Lamont) and Shannon Smith (Christopher), both of New Iberia and Wendy Landry (Rodney) of Glencoe; his father, Allen Ray Wells Sr. (Dianne) of New Iberia; maternal grandmother, Melvola Harrison; a special cousin Denessa Chentlen of New Iberia; his godparents Paul Archangel, Dianne Archangel and Joset Harrison; his godchildren Jamie Jaleesa Walker, Kiera Wells, Ja’Bryson Anthony Wells and Jazmine Broussard; three uncles Martin Harrison of Lafayette, Stanley Harrison and Exalton Harrison both of New Iberia; three aunts Amanda H. Broussard (Joseph), Ophelia Harrison and Anna H. Breaux (Alvin) of Lafayette; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Harrison Wells; his maternal grandparents, Preston Harrison Sr. and Marjorie Thibeaux Harrison; his paternal grandmother, Beatrice Wells; three uncles Preston Harrison Jr., Tony Harrison and Shelton Harrison Sr.; two aunts Olivia H. Guidry and Joann H. Labbe; and one niece Janessa Walker.

Active pallbearers are Allen Ray Wells Jr., Jermaine Wells, Ja’Bryson Wells, Calvin Labbe Jr., Shelton Harrison Jr., Reginald Harrison, Christopher Harrison and Stanley Harrison Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Lamont Walker, Christopher Smith, Joseph McCreary, Christopher Breaux, Nathan Breaux, Xavier Wells, Rev. Melvin Chentlen and Alvin Breaux Jr.
