Ramona L. Lasseigne

ST. MARTINVILLE — A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Saint Martin de Tours Catholic Church located at 133 South Main Street in Saint Martinville with a graveside service to follow at Saint Micheal’s Cemetery.

Ramona L. Lasseigne passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at 2:39 a.m. at St. Martin Hospital.

Ramona L. Lasseigne was a native and lifelong resident of St. Martinville. She was born on March 5, 1952, in St. Martinville to Romain and Annie Gardemal Lasseigne. 

Ramona was best described as a gypsy at heart, loving all those she came to know and had contact with. Her friends were all a very important part of her life. She had a love for her nieces, nephews and godchildren as they were her very own.

Mona had a devotion to Mary our mother and was an adorer of the Holy Eucharist at the Community of Jesus Crucified’s Adoration Chapel when her health permitted.

She is survived by her constant companion, who cared for her to the very end Norris Broussard; two sisters Aimee Lancon and Carolyn Decuir; and one brother Willian Lasseigne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Romain and Annie Gardemal Lasseigne; a brother Leonard Lasseigne; and by her unborn child.
