A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Mr. Milton “Sonny” Davis Jr., 84, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Deacon Roland Jeanlouis, officiating.

He will await the resurrection in Saint Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Loreauville.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at the funeral home 7 a.m. until time of service with a Rosary to be recited at 9 a.m.

A native of Olivier and resident of New Iberia, he passed at 1:59 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at his residence in Baton Rouge.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters Adrienne Davis of Baton Rouge, and Louisa (John) Knatt of Loreauville; five sisters Rosemary Guidry and Leatha (Oswald, Sr.) Jacquet of Olivier, Mary Jane Antoine and Alice Lewis all of New Iberia; one brother Mitchell Davis of Olivier; two grandchildren Michael Colbert and Kevlyn Colbert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Josephine Wiltz Davis and Mary Louise Mitchell Davis; two daughters Cindy Davis and Sonya Davis; son Michael Davis; parents, Milton Davis Sr. and Alice Polite Davis; three sisters Patricia Shivers, Yvonne Crofton and Elaine Ledet.

Active Pallbearers are immediate family members and friends.
