BPMS rolls past JMS

Quarterback Cullen Charles helped lead Belle Place to an undefeated season.

JEANERETTE — Dedrick Latulas had 105 yards and two touchdowns rushing as Belle Place Middle School beat Jeanerette Middle 54-0 Thursday in the final game of the season for the Cardinals.

Amaaz Eugene added 45 yards receiving, 43 yards rushing and two touchdowns for BPMS, which finished the season with a perfect 10-0 record and won the Teche League Middle School title for the fourth straight year.

It was also the third year in a row that Belle Place Middle had an undefeated season.

Simieon Theodile finished with 55 yards passing and threw a touchdown pass to Ja’Taigh Johnson. Cullen Charles had 45 yards passing and 35 yards rushing and scored a touchdown and Tavias Gordon had 55 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

Defensively, Eugene had five tackles and an interception; Damian Tillman added four tackles while Kevin Fusilier, Macky Jones and Charles each had three tackles.
