Mr. & Mrs. Courregé

Averie Sara Koontz and Brandon Lucien Courregé were married Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, during an outdoor celebration on the banks of the Bayou Teche at the home of his aunt, Natalie Broussard. The bride is the daughter of Michelle Breaux of New Iberia and Matthew Koontz of Des Allemands. The groom is the son of Jack and Sandy Courregé of New Iberia.

Judge Suzanne DeMahy officiated the

7 p.m. ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white lace dress with silver beading around the scooped neckline. She carried a bouquet of red roses crafted by the brides mother and wrapped in gold ribbon.

Serving as maid of honor was Brandie Lynn Fabre. Bridesmaids were Tierany Beard and Randi Pope.

Serving as best man was Joshua Mayer. Groomsmen were Trintan Beard and Daniel Dahl.

A reception prepared by family and friends was held immediately after the ceremony and later, friends gathered at Belmont Plantation in New Iberia for a celebration.

The couple will reside in New Iberia.
