Church taking applications for Toys for Tots

JEANERETTE — Kingdom of God Church in Jeanerette will accept applications for its Toys for Tots program on the next two Sundays for this year’s Christmas toy giveaway.

Potential recipients can apply at the St. Julia Empowerment Center, 401 Henkle St. in Jeanerette from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, and Sunday, Dec. 2.

The last day to apply to be a recipient of this year’s program is Dec. 2. 

To qualify, recipients much bring a valid ID and proof of some sort of government assistance (Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, etc.) to the St. Juila Empowerment Center.
