Gayle P. Hill

A Home-going celebration will be held for Mrs. Gayle P. Hill, 56, the former Gayle Pradia, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Bishop Darren Sophus, Sr., officiating.

She will await the resurrection at Saint Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday at Fletcher Funeral Home 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

A native and resident of New Iberia, she passed at 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Iberia Medical Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters Santanna Latigue (Chronicle), Heather Hill and Brianna Lewis all of New Iberia; two sons Tavares Hill and Jaquante Alexander of New Iberia; four sisters Barbara P. Hector and Leslie P. Boudreaux (Sam) of New Iberia, Loretta Pradia and Willa Mae Pradia of Rochester, New York; four brothers Emery (June) Pradia Jr. and Donald Ray Pradia of New Iberia, Kevin Pradia of Lafayette and Larry Pradia Sr. of Rochester, New York; seven grandchildren; three uncles Elvin Pradia (Virgie), Homer Sims and Sanford Sims; two great-aunts Louise Henry and Lillie M. Latula; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Hill III; her parents, Emery James Pradia Sr. and Elsie Sims Pradia; one grandchild Heroin Kinchen Jr.; two brothers Leo Pradia and Michael Joseph Pradia Sr.; and one sister Carolyn Joyce Pradia.

Active Pallbearers are Santanna Latigue, Heather Hill, Briana Lewis, Troyetta Hogan, Trent Colbert and Shontell Hector.

Honorary Pallbearers are Shante’ Hector, Ariona Boudreaux, Brittany Lewis, Melissa Hector, Shannel’ Latulas, Gwen Welcome and Toi Pradia.
