NIPD, LPD nab suspect in May 3 carwash shooting

The New Iberia Police Department will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint tonight within the incorporated limits of New Iberia between the hours of 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.

The purpose of the checkpoint is to target impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or any other dangerous substances.

Officers working the checkpoint will respond with zero tolerance to those drivers found to be under the influence.
