- Iberia Parish 4-H students pose before The Great Gauntlet Race Minicamp at the Louisiana State Capitol last week before continuing their historic tour at the Mississippi River aboard the USS Kidd.
More than 80 Iberia Parish 4-H students, parents and teacher chaperons joined other 4-H clubs from across the state Tuesday, May 28 for a legislative day at the Louisiana Capitol. Both the House of Representatives and the Senate were in session in the afternoon. The Junior Winners trip is annually given to students that won a blue ribbon or higher throughout the year in any competition. They first have to win the ribbons in competitions and then be invited to attend. After the capitol tour and lunch, they toured the USS Kidd before heading back to New Iberia.
