George Bourdier, son of Hester and Paul Bourdier of New Iberia, was awarded Culver Military Academy’s Colonel George T. Gunston medal May 26 for the most military artilleryman by Major Kevin Green. Bourdier, at right, also earned the rank of Color Corporal, the highest rank possible for a freshman. The school is located in Culver, Indiana.
