DELCAMBRE –  A mandatory evacuation has been put into effect due to Hurricane Laura. 

The mandatory evacuation was issued by Delcambre’s mayor and chief of police. 

According to a prepared statement, the town is facing the threat of high winds, heavy rains, storm surges and flooding as a result of Laura. 

A curfew for the town of Delcambre is in effect starting today at 8 p.m. and will last until 5 p.m. Thursday.
