Aneissa LaShawn ‘Neicy’ Baldwin

 Aneissa’s earthly life began on July 5, 1993, in New Iberia to the union of Curtis Archangel and Tananna Baldwin. She was the oldest of five children. “Neicy” as she was affectionately called by family and friends alike, attended Jeanerette Elementary and Iberia Parish Schools. She enjoyed living life to the fullness. Her fondest moments were spent enjoying people she came in contact with, styling hair, spending time with her siblings and eating her mom’s great cooking.

On January 1, 2011, “Neicy’s” earthly life ended as a result of an automobile accident in St. Martin Parish. She now joins in glory her grandmother, Debby Sabine Baldwin; her great-grandparents, Raymond and Alice Sabine Sr.; her great-grandfathers, Norton Gibson, Peter Archangel and Walter (Butsye) Lewis; her great-uncle Freddie Moore Sr.; her great-aunts Audrey Moore, Christine Archangel, Brenda Derbigney and Betty Baldwin; and cousin Julie Moore.

“Neicy” leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving mother, Tananna Teniel Polidore; her father, Curtis Archangel; her stepfather, Edward “Weenie” Polidore Sr.; her brothers Travous Baldwin and Edward Polidore Jr.; her sisters Essence Archangel and Miracle Baldwin all of Jeanerette; her grandparents, Theoplis “Tedo” Baldwin Sr. and Argyle “Mossy” Allen, Lincoln Gibson and Talitha Archangel (Matthew Sutton); her great-grandparents Doris Stanton, Patricia Gibson and George and Mary Alice Pierce; her uncles Theoplis Baldwin Jr., Jerome Archangel and Brandon Allen; her aunts Ariel Archangel, Deidre Archangel, Shenell Archangel and Angelica Baldwin; a special friend Brianna Lewis; and a host of other relatives and friends that loved her dearly.

Services will be at St. Moses Baptist Church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. B.K. Stevens officiating.

Interment will be at Hope Cemetery, Sorrell.

Active pallbearers will be Christopher Archangel, Andre Martine Jr.,Terrence DeRouen, Wilbur Alexander, Brandon DeRouen and Cortez Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Theoplis Baldwin Jr., Lation Frank, Charles Sabine, Raymond Sabine Jr., Kenneth Sabine Sr., Claude Linton Jr., Lincoln Gibson, George Gibson, Jerome Archangel, Dale Archangel, Edwin Archangel, Fabian Derbigney, Wendell Derbigney Jr., Dale Archangel Jr., Richard Gregorie, Thiron Gregoire, Devon Gabriel and John Willis Jr.
