Simone Champagne: Why I’m running for Senate District 22

Don’t you think you can spend your money better than the government? I know you can!
If we want to create jobs we must get Government out of the way. No more moratoriums, no more regulations and we can’t afford higher taxes. As a mother of 5 and grandmother of 3 I’ve stretched a budget and done more with less. Shouldn’t our government do the same?

Government spending and growth is the problem, it hinders our ability to grow our economy and small businesses.
Now more than ever we need a true conservative in the State Senate, and that is why I decided to run for this important seat and I humbly ask for your vote on January 22nd. If elected I will serve the people of Senate District 22 with the same passion, energy, and dedication as I have as a State Representative.”
If we have learned anything in the past two years it is that we cannot afford to allow government to run rampant and continue the out of control spending. That is why I voted against the bloated Louisiana budget last year and supported legislation that allowed Louisiana to opt out of Obama’s costly healthcare mandate.
This year is a very important and historical year in state government with redistricting and my commitment to the people of District 22 is to keep the integrity of the district whole.
And it is time that the politicians remember who they are working for: YOU. That’s why I voted against the legislative pay raise, supported term limits for all elected officials, and voted to strip retirement benefits from elected officials convicted of criminal behavior.
I love Louisiana and I know our best days are ahead. On January 22nd I would be honored to have your vote for State Senate. Thank you.
