Maison Teche Nursing Center LPN Lois Thomas receives a dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine Saturday.

Forty-one residents and 61 staff members at Maison Teche Nursing Center received doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, according to administrator Hayley Boutte.

CVS sent a team of three pharmacist and two pharmacy techs to administer the vaccines.

“It was a day filled with so much hope for a beginning to an end to this pandemic,” Boutte said. “It was a great day.”
