DELCAMBRE — A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Marissa Guidry, 5, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Herb Bennerfield will be the celebrant for the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 9 a.m. on Saturday until service time.
A native of Lafayette and resident of Youngsville, Marissa passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
Marissa attended Pre-K at Lynn’s Early Educational Center. She was a little diva who loved dancing and playing dress up. The rough and tumble side of Marissa allowed her to keep up with her brothers, and enjoy being outdoors playing soccer.
Marissa’s smile was sure to brighten the day and light up any room. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Marissa is survived by her parents, Michael and Shawn Olivier Guidry, of Youngsville; two brothers Tyler Annerino and Joey Guidry; maternal grandparents, Tom Olivier, of New Iberia and Rebecca Allen and husband, Dave, of Dallas; paternal grandparents, Randy and Jessica Guidry of Delcambre; maternal great-grandparents, Allen and Lydia Olivier, of St. Martinville and Betty and Alex Meadows, of Decatur, Ala.; and paternal great-grandmother, Iris Guidry, of Abbeville.
She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandparents, Owen Guidry, and Jesse and Mary Lou Laviolette; maternal great-grandfather, Raoul Arcement; and great-uncle Joey Laviolette.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Annerino, Joey Guidry, Randy Guidry and Dave Allen.
