Barbara Myers Touchet

Barbara Myers Touchet, age 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Dauterive Hospital, with her loving family at her side.  In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held.

Barbara was born August 22, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Andrew “Frenchy” Myers and Marie Conner Myers, and was one of ten children.  She was recently working as a caregiver with Home Health of New Iberia.

Barbara was a fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  She was the type of person who never met a stranger.  She leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Carol J. Touchet of New Iberia; her daughter, Tiffany Keel and companion Tony Viator of New Iberia; two grandchildren, Krystian Gaspard and fiancée Blake Darby and Tyler Bourque; an expected great grandchild; step-son, Chad Viator of New Iberia; her sisters and brothers, Gene Myers and wife Phillis of Rayne, Mona Fay Hunt and husband Ron, Mike Myers and Linda Gail Myers all of New Iberia; and two very special and dear friends, Raymond Tauzin and Julie Segura of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Marie Myers; and her sister and brothers, Bonnie Darby, Andrew Myers, Jr., Bobby Myers, Patrice Myers and Jerry Myers.
