A funeral service will be conducted for Anna Mae Badeaux Blanchard, 82, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 8, 2010, at Evangeline Funeral Home. Deacon Patrick Burke will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Blanchard passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 11:45 p.m. at Iberia Medical Center.

Mrs. Blanchard is survived by children Ashley Blanchard and finace Randy Toups of New Iberia, Kathleen Latiolais and husband, Tony, of Delcambre; Connie Delcambre of New Iberia and Craig Derouen of New Iberia; six grandchildren Dena Standridge, Brandon Delcambre, Brandi Delcambre, Billy Smith, Jolene Smith and Bobby Joe “Bozie” Smith; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by one brother Wiley Badeaux and his wife, MaryLee, of Jeanerette; and one sister JoAnn Tyler of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Eve Romero Badeaux; husband, Lloyd John Blanchard; two sons Adam Smith Jr. and Wilton Smith; grandson Brian DeBlanc; five brothers Fred, Clarence, Lotto, William and Raymond Badeaux; and three sisters Eula Mae Badeaux, Vernice Badeaux and Gussie Poirrier.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Delcambre, Mark Delcambre, Jessie Badeaux, Tyten DeBlanc, Kevin Bourque and Randy Toups.

Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Derouen, Wiley Badeaux, Tony Latiolais and Jeremy Standridge.
