It is unfortunate The Daily Iberian allows letters to the editor to be used as a mudslinging device in this important race for state Senate. The Internet site this was copied from is not an accurate or unbiased news source.

Therefore by extension The Daily Iberian is allowing someone to use a inaccurate Web site with a political agenda to be used as a reliable source to engage in mudslinging.

I am an independent and have supported numerous Republican as well as Democratic candidates for public office. Some contributions are made when I attended private functions in which I was able to share my ideas and hopefully influence the candidates position on items that affect our area. It is ridiculous to say I support leftist Democratic candidates.

The two state representatives in this race both contributed to Democratic causes, but no mention is made of their contributions.

I most recently hosted a party for our Republican Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne and contributed significantly to his campaign. Why is that not mentioned?

I would urge people to pay attention to what the issues are in this race, not what some Internet Web site with propaganda to favor a political agenda says.
