Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited three subjects for alleged crabbing violations on Oct. 13 in St. Mary Parish.

Agents cited Derek Mayea, 42, Jathan Cowart, 41, and Ja’veyian Archangel, 21, all from Franklin, for removing contents from crab traps.

Agents received a complaint about crab traps that were being tended by people other than the owners of the traps near Six-Mile Lake. Agents set up surveillance on the area and observed the three subjects removing crabs from crab traps they did not own or have permission to tend.
