The Plating Society

The Plating Society, a new restaurant from Feast and Field contributor Darian Bryan, opened January 11th, 2022 in the Larkin Historic District of Buffalo, New York.

The brick-and-mortar location is an expansion of the original version of the Plating Society, a boutique chef service providing fine dining events, catering and cooking classes in unique locations, from homes to yoga studios to the beach.

The restaurant will expand on this concept, offering pop-up events and meals in an intimate luxury show kitchen featuring Chef Darian as an attraction for personalized events.

“I don’t take this opportunity lightly, to bring my unique vision and stylistic approach to food preparation to Larkinville,” Bryan says. “Food is everything to me, it brings people together and I can’t wait to create a community.”

Community has been a theme in Bryan’s career from the time he learned to cook alongside his mother in her cookshop in a small town in Jamaica, where he helped her feed the neighborhood. After coming to New York in 2012, he attended culinary school and worked as a sous chef for Hutch’s restaurant, helping launch it from the ground up.
