149TH ANNIVERSARY — Mt. Olive Baptist Church #1 Freetown, 6519 Chastant Road, invites the public to worship at its 149th church anniversary on Sunday, March 13. The service begins at 10 a.m. The church is asking for pastors, choirs, members, family and friends to join in lifting up the name of Jesus. Special guest pastor is the Rev. Allen Randle of Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church of Abbeville, Franklin and New Iberia. Mt. Olive pastor Rev. Lester Simon Jr. asks that everyone attending wear a mask in compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines.

LENTEN LUNCH FUNDRAISER —Solomon House is selling tickets for its annual Lenten Lunch Fundraiser. Tickets are available for purchase through Wednesday, March 23, and cost $12.50 each. The meal consists of shrimp fettuccine, salad, bread and a dessert. Meals can be picked by drive-thru at Azalea Estates, 1318 Andre St., from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, April 1. CITYWIDE SONRISE SERVICE — Cornerstone Cowboy Church will be holding a CityWide Sonrise Service at New Iberia City Park on April 17. The event will feature music and worship for the whole community.
