During its Thursday night matchup, ACS gave up 14 points in the first quarter then held the North Shore Vultures scoreless for the remainder of the game.
Coach Oliver credits his Defensive Coordinator, Sanford Edwards, with the defensive adjustments.
The offense got going, scoring 16 unanswered points, and then added a scoop and score punt return by Ridge Darden that put the Lions up 30 to 14 at halftime.
The Lions controlled the line of scrimmage throughout the 2nd half. Top performers on the defensive line were Caleb Broussard, Everett Higgins, Cameron Savoy, and Jude Wilder. This enabled the Lions offense to score 52 total points. Touchdowns leaders were Ty Olivier (4) and Rivers Boutte (2).
