Cart replacements happening this week

- Pelican’s Waste and Debris has started this week dropping off the new residential carts. If you are on a Monday or Tuesday pickup, you should be receiving your new cart shortly. The process should be completed by Oct. 28.
New Iberia residents will have a new garbage company starting Nov. 1, and residents should ensure that they have obtained the containers.
Republic Services will no longer provide residential or commercial cart services starting on Nov. 1, according to a prepared statement from the City of New Iberia. Carts will be removed on the customer’s last service day beginning Oct. 25.
The last service day provided by Republic Services for this area will be Oct. 31. The city urges that residents leave their containers out after service so that they can be removed.
Trash cars will be removed on whichever day your service falls during the week beginning Oct. 25.
