The office, established in 1872, operates on self-generated funds from the services they provide, including recording and maintaining of documents and civil suits, qualifying, and background checks.
Additionally, the Iberia Parish Clerk’s office offers services that many other Clerk’s offices do not provide – services like, providing birth and death certificates, passports, and has three in-house officiants to perform wedding ceremonies in their wedding chapel, where over 300 weddings have been performed since 2020.
Through implementing new and improved software, the Clerk’s office offers paperless processes, including e-recordings, e-filings and new online subscriptions services, making the office accessible 24/7/356.
By working with dedicated team members and hundreds of commissioners, the Clerk’s office prides itself in operating safe and secure elections for Iberia Parish.
