New Iberia Cub Scout Pack celebrates Arrow Of Light

Tthe New Iberia local Cub Scout Pack 463 hosted its annual Blue and Gold Banquet which commemorates Cubs who have completed the last step of Cub Scouts called Arrow Of Light.

Cubmaster Cory Peltier and Assistant Cub Master Brock Daigle guided the scouts through the event. The Blue and Gold banquet is where the cubs will officially transition to a troop. Arrow Of Light Den consists of seven fifth grade cubs, consisting of two girls and five boys.

The girls will continue to the BSA Troop 331 which consists of girls. The boys will go on to the boys troop 133, both are located in New Iberia.

Immediate family was invited to be with their scout to witness and celebrate the event while parents and or guardians participated in the Crossover Ceremony. The event, in true Cajun style, provided gumbo and potato salad prepared by Scout Dads Patrick Dore’ and gumbo cookoff finalist Shane Walker.

Pack 463 thanks the VFW Post 1982 for being its Charter Organization and providing the venue to hold its meetings.
