Books Along the Teche festival events announced

The annual Books Along the Teche Literary Festival has released the 2024 calendar of events, with several activities you won’t want to miss. 

The festival begins on Friday, April 5 with several events, including the L’Acadian Art Guild Exhibit, A Dave Robicheaux Mystery Bus Tour, and a presentation on sugarcane farming by Edwin Lewis.

Saturday kicks off with children’s activities and a book fair at Rodrigue Park, followed by several events across downtown New Iberia. The James Lee Burke sculpture presentation will take place at 10 a.m., with a walking tour starting available as well. 

Saturday also sees Natalie Bazile give a keynote presentation, followed by a kayak tour, bouree tournament and fais do do. 

The festival wraps up on Sunday with T-Boy’s Adventure Boat Tour of the Bayou Teche, a Live Oak bike tour and Symphony in the Park.
