A celebration of life service will be conducted for Lillion “Taunt” Boutte Boudreaux, 85, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at David Funeral Home with Michelle Boudreaux officiating. Inurnment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023, with a recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m.
Lillion “Taunt” was born on June 4, 1938, in Lafayette, to Laurent and the former Anna Oceta Bourque Boutte and passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. A devoted and caring soul, Taunt’s life was marked by her passion for baking and creating handmade clothes for herself and her loved ones. Her warmth extended beyond her kitchen and sewing room, as she found joy in babysitting for friends and family, showcasing her nurturing nature.
Known for her selflessness, Taunt was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her home was a haven with an open-door policy, where everyone felt welcomed. Taunt’s kindness and generosity were further exemplified in her love for hosting family card games and playing Pokeno during her leisure time. Her legacy is one of love, compassion and the enduring spirit of family and community. Taunt will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched with her genuine care and hospitality.
Lillion is survived by her three children, Cynthia Blanchard, Janice Goodson (Johnny), Gwen “Dale” Boudreaux; 14 grandchildren, Toby Blanchard (Amanda), Drew Blanchard, Kyli Vaughn (Cody), Chance Crochet (Josie), Chantel Crochet, Johnny Goodson Jr., Thomas Goodson, Michael Goodson (Shannon), Natalie Goodson, Nicholas Boudreaux (Terrie), Ryeley Broussard, Breyn Boudreaux (Valery), Dylan Boudreaux (Ashlen) and Stacey Suire (Larry); 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by parents Laurent J., and the former Anna Oceta Bourque Boutte; her grandson Jarod Boudreaux; her siblings Clovis Boutte, Laurence “Blondie” Sieber, Ossay Boutte, Camelian “CP” Peter Boutte, Abdon “Dan” Boutte, Samuel “Sam” Boutte, Gurlie B. Broussard and Rita B. Dionne.
