Ten of the best soccer teams in the Teche Area have punched their tickets to the 2024 LHSAA soccer playoffs.

First-round contests begin in February with the state championship games being played at Southeastern University’s Strawberry Stadium in Hammond, La. from Feb. 21-24.

Teams from Episcopal School of Acadiana took top billing locally, with the boys earning a No. 2 seed and the girls taking the No. 5 seed. The Falcons made it all the way to the semifinals in last year’s playoffs, narrowly losing 1-0 to Holy Savior Menard.

The Lady Falcons had a rougher go of it in 2023, losing to Louise McGehee in the first round.

The Catholic High boys and girls also earned home field advantage with their regular season performances. The Panthers will host No. 21 seed Pope John Paul II while the Lady Panthers will face off against No. 20 Holy Savior Menard.
