Upcoming Events: The What, Where and When for April

1. Festival International de Louisiane. Festival is a premiere International music and arts festival known for bringing a variety of unique and emerging performers to Louisiana that will feature seven music stages, arts and crafts vendors, local food and other family friendly activities. 2. Scott Boudin Festival. This festival, held at the “Boudin Capital of the World,” offers a family friendly weekend with carnival rides, bands, arts and crafts and lots of food. Boudin is deeply ingrained in Cajun culture, and the Scott community is proud to celebrate and share it. You can find all kinds of mouth-watering boudin at this festival as local vendors serve up a variety of boudin types and flavors, like cheese-filled, jalapeño and more. 3. AcA All Stars Series: The Secret Sisters. The Secret Sisters are a folk and country duo renowned for their heavenly harmonies and evocative storytelling. 4. Books Along the Teche Literary Festival. This literary festival honors Iberia authors and others from around the world while focusing on James Lee Burke’s legendary literary character, Dave Robicheaux, and his hometown with storytelling, workshops, academic symposium, theatrical vignettes, music, local cuisine, Dave Robicheaux tours and a 5K run. Bob Dylan

Bal du Dimanche

What: Bayou Vermilion District & Vermilionville host the Bal du Dimanche (Sunday Dance) every week. This live music series is held in Vermilionville’s Performance Center and rustic dancehall. Admission includes a self-guided tour of the Vermilionville Living History museum.

Bourré at The Brewery
