I have started writing this in my head countless times, but haven’t been able to put the words to paper. Recently something developed that replaced my apprehension with excitement. So, here it is. I am leaving Acadiana Lifestyle and The Daily Iberian.

This magazine has been such a huge part of my life. I feel beyond fortunate to have had the opportunity to be associated with such an esteemed publication for as long as I have. Acadiana Lifestyle feels like a family member to me. I cannot imagine leaving it in anything less than the most capable hands, and I am confident that I am, because Anne Songy will be reprising her role as Editor of Acadiana Lifestyle.

It is hard for me to imagine my life without the magazine in it. Please know how incredibly appreciative I am of the steadfast support of this community. Acadiana will always be my muse, and I remain passionate about making sure that the stories of this wonderfully weird little corner of the world are promoted. For now, I’m excited to count myself as one of Acadiana Lifestyle’s most devoted (and likely most critical) fans and readers.
