If you agree or subscribe to the idea that events occur in a cause and event sequence, that the following event was (at least somewhat) caused by the preceding event, you are not alone in your belief. “Post hoc ergo propter hoc”, which agrees with that is considered a ‘informal fallacy’, but is tempting because of the way our minds work. That said, I contend that WORLD WAR THREE has already begun and it did when the first (causing event) was the lack of a proper response to the Russian invasion of the Crimean peninsula. That response was botched by the then in power ‘world leaders’ supposedly led by the United States ‘Team Obama’ which included Barack O and Joseph B holding the two top positions. Toss in all the free world’s leaders and the United Nations and you have the whole offence, defense and special teams to blame too.

To recap here, invasion in the past led to world war in the present. Only thing left is to play out the ‘game’…THE BLAME GAME.

With too many candidates to choose from, I choose to concentrate on only the Major players:

1. The almighty UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION (member of the “World Class League).

Have they lost their playbook (Charter) in the locker room or do they just ignore it? Is their ‘go-to’ formation ‘words, words, words, words, words…upfront and blah, blah, blah, blah, resolution, resolution, veto, veto, veto then abstain the way to achieve ‘world peace and universal understanding’? Could they have even reprimanded the murderers named HAMAS or would that embarrass some members?

2. Certain positions held in this world carry a lot of weight, useful both at the line of scrimmage and as the QB and RB. The Obama-Biden led team also failed in their assignments to stem the TIDE (Not Alabama) of the aggressor. As such, much blame can be assigned here. On paper, the QB role has changed, but there are some who wonder if that is really the case. We all need some R&R and some of us play golf and some vacation weekly at the beach in basements.

3. Perhaps it’s the ‘Gameplan’ itself to blame? We used the ‘Domino Theory’ formation to justify our involvement in Viet Nam and look at how that played out. Are we (shot)gun shy of making that kind of move today? Is not Vlad P talking about his next move even though he’s stuck at the line of scrimmage in Ukraine? Does history repeat over and over again? Damned if we do, damned if we don’t.

Once the cat is out of the bag, it’s hard to put it back in there again (MAGA?). My ‘playing’ the Blame Game is getting us no-where fast…or is it?

An awareness of HOW we got where we are can inform us when it comes to dealing with important decisions we have to make today and in November.

Do we want to keep riding the horse we are on now, that took us to where we are now, or do we want to dismount, change back to one that gave us a better ride during a four year lull (sort of like half-time with no field action)? That ‘lull’ was the relative calm before some people decided to fan the flames of war…WORLD WAR THREE…

Toto, we are NOT playing Fantasy Football anymore…or are we?
