League of Women Voters of Iberia reaching out to voters

New Iberia, LA — The League of Women Voters of Iberia is undertaking a number of projects to educate, register and energize the voters of Iberia parish in advance of the November 5 presidential election:
– Hand fans and yard signs will soon be showing up across Iberia parish. “Y’ALL VOTE!” is the theme of the fans and signs, which are printed in the signature blue of the League of Women Voters. Signs include information about how to register to vote online (GeauxVote.com), early voting dates (October 18-29), and the election date (November 5).
– Members will be distributing “Y’ALL VOTE!” hand fans at local festivals, church services and events.
– Voter registration events will be held in conjunction with National Voter Registration Day (September 17) at locations throughout Iberia parish.
– Public service announcements will be broadcast during local high school football games to encourage people to vote in the upcoming presidential election.
