The Resilient Communities Infrastructure Program aims to “address unmet needs in the area of infrastructure across impacted areas in order to expand upon and improve resilient community planning,” according to Restore Louisiana.

The program requires collaboration from community leaders who are knowledgeable about the most pressing needs of the community.

In other business, the council will vote to approve a special election for the renewal of a special tax on Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 1. The district is located in west St. Mary Parish from Calumet to Jeanerette and will only apply to residents living in the district.

Councilman Jay Ina will bring up a discussion relative to special service district board commissioners training, as well as a discussion relative to the St. Mary Parish Government personnel policy.

The meeting takes place 6 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse.
