The New Iberia Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in relation to a shooting in the 1000 block of East Dale Street yesterday afternoon.

According to the NIPD, upon arriving in the area, responding officers located a male victim on the ground in the parking lot of an apartment complex. The male was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound and was eventually transported to a Lafayette hospital in critical but stable condition. 

NIPD’s Criminal Investigations Team responded to scene and is handling the investigation.
