A New Iberia man is being held on $600,000 bond after his arrest on rape charges Friday.

Reonte Joseph Spencer, 25, was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on one count of first-degree rape and one count of attempted first-degree rape.

Spencer was arrested after a New Iberia Police Department Major Crimes Unit investigation.
