Hurricanes blow past Section field

The Loreauville Hurricanes, a team made up of players from four teams in Loreauville, won the Pony League Section Tournament on July 9-11 to qualify for the regional tournament that began Friday in Abbeville. The Hurricanes opened with a 9-6 victory over Lydia Full Throttle, then defeated the St. Landry Big Dawgs 11-1, bowed to the Big Dawgs 12-7 and clinched the title with a 16-10 victory over the team from St. Landry.
