FESTIVAL OF LIVE OAKS

When: Saturday, March 15, 2025, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: New Iberia City Park, 300 Parkview Drive

What: The Festival of Live Oaks will be held in conjunction with the New Iberia Vendor and Craft event in City Park. Celebrate spring at New Iberia City Park with fun, family-friendly activities, including a barbecue cookoff, Easter egg hunt, live music, pony rides, children’s activities, arts and crafts, sweet booths and much more. Bring your chairs and blankets and plan for a full day of family fun.

TECHE PLEIN AIR AWARDS CEREMONY AND FINE ART SALE

When: Friday, March 14, 2025, 6:30 p.m.

Where: Sliman Theatre, 129 E. Main St.

What: Judge Beth Bathe, acclaimed Pennsylvania plein air artist, will announce this year’s winners of the Teche Plein Air competition and award over $10,000 in cash and prizes. All work painted throughout the week by the 25 artists from around the country will be exhibited and available for purchase. Take home an original, one-of-a-kind work of art and support art education. Light refreshments will be provided.

ST. PATTY’S DAY PARTY

When: Friday, March 14, 2025, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Where: The Harvest Room, 301 W. St. Peter St.

What: Join the folks at the New Iberia Optimist Club for their annual St. Patty’s Day Party. The event is open to both members and non-members of the community to enjoy the evening and support a local group that gives back to the City of New Iberia with events, donations, and community service. Enjoy live music, food, dancing, and games. Come dressed in your best green attire to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in New Iberia.
