Verly, a lifelong resident of Delcambre, LA, was a shining example of selflessness and devotion, and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Verly was a beloved matriarch, devoted wife and caretaker building a legacy that will endure for generations. Verly’s greatest joy was her family. Affectionately known as “Ma,” she embraced her role as matriarch with grace and unconditional love, always ready to listen and provide a comforting hug. With an understanding of family’s significance, her home was a sanctuary where love flourished and memories were made.

Verly was an extraordinarily creative person.  She was a talented seamstress, creating family heirlooms for most life events and a great cook known for her culinary delights that brought the family together around the dinner table. Her artistic inclinations shone through her as an avid gardener, whose skill in nurturing flowers and plants reflected her graceful spirit. As the proud owner of Country Boutique, her gifts and crafts enriched the local community, leaving a lasting impact on many.

Self-taught and determined, Verly’s intelligence and wisdom were a guiding light for her family. She was a spiritual soul whose faithful presence inspired all who met her. Her elegance and grace extended beyond her physical stature, treating others with respect, compassion, and understanding. Her youthful appearance was a testament to her healthy lifestyle and dedication to yoga, dance, and various fitness activities. Verly’s good friends called her “Verl,” a name that reflected her approachable nature and vibrant personality.

She was a devoted servant to her community, always ready to lend a hand and uplift those around her. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Society, and her faith was an example for those around her.

Verly is survived by her children Cynthia LeBlanc, Adelaide Currier (Charles), Scott Landry, Bridget Touchet (Greg), Ross Landry (Christine), her 17 grandchildren: JoEllen, Jennifer, John, Holly, Jill, Clay, Grant, Joshua, Whitney, Jacob, Stephanie, Luke, Hilary, Jessica, Noah, Matthew, and Anne Katherine, her 19 great-grandchildren: Alex, Alaina, Cameron, Cooper, Will, Madeline, Peyton, Ava, Conner, Brinleigh, Blair, Owen, Ian, Camden, Catherine, Magdalene, Samuel, Andrew, Nora and her great great-grandchildren: Thomas, Braxton, Sutton and Aubree.  She is also survived by her siblings, Linda Sue Menard, Hilda Porter, Charlene Hebert, and Timmy Bourque.
