New Iberia– Funeral services will be conducted for Carl J. Bonin, age 63, on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Nathan Comeaux officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1:30 p.m.

Carl J. Bonin, age 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at his residence in New Iberia. Known for his warm and generous spirit, Carl was a beloved brother, best friend, and cherished uncle. He had a heart of gold, never hesitating to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Carl deeply treasured his family and found joy in their company, especially during holidays. He had a passion for sports, spending many happy hours playing golf, baseball, and bowling. In his younger years, he also found solace in fishing, embracing the tranquility of the outdoors. Carl will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Carl is survived by his siblings; Deborah Romero of New Iberia, Kevin Bonin of New Iberia, Pamela Bonin of New Iberia, Michael Bonin of Houston, Tx., and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Bonin., Sr, and Joyce DeRouen Benoit, and one sibling, Ernest Bonin, Jr.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Kevin Bonin, Mike Bonin, Kyle Romero, Mike Delahoussaye, Jesse Delahoussaye, and Kyle Robicheaux.

Honored to serve as Honorary Pallbearers are Dane Bonin, and Keither Dore.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff member of Heart of Hospice for all the kindness they shared with Carl.
